This is an idea that I’ve had brewing for a long time now, but one that I never really got into play due to RL issues getting in the way. But, now that I have the time (and hopefully the interest) I’d like to play it out here. Really this is the sort of thread that would be best with the support of a vigilante like Batman or Nightwing, but I’ll see who I can net with this idea and try to make it work.
~Killing Frost
Gotham is no stranger to bizarre deaths, but these ones seem to top the charts as far as strange is concerned. Bodies are surfacing in the streets in a state of decomposition that suggests months of process, when in truth these individuals have only been missing for a number of days. Because of a white ‘fuzz’ that coats the remains the media has taken a liking to calling this curiosity the Killing Frost. Fears of a new plague hitting the streets spread as people begin to evacuate, all the while more bodies are discovered in the city. Gotham is closed off with strict curfews set in place, attempting to control panic and give order even as things seem to grow worse.
Now I have everything planned out; I know what the cause is, how it’s stopped and how its spread. However I’m not going to spill my guts just yet because I know some writers like to be dragged along in a story and surprised, and left guessing on the way. If you’re interested so far in the story then I’d appreciate some feedback. If you’d like to know the details I’m willing to hand those over as well.
Since my character is a paramedic, she’s going to have a lot of hands-on experience with these bodies, and is willing to share vital clues in order to see that this is resolved. She’s be a supporter of the case, and I’d love to have her work alongside whomever shows interest and seeing it through.
So now we see who takes the bate. ;D
